While working on my breakdown, I noticed that the light on the arm piece wasn't fully covering it. This was due to an error I made in Photoshop where I warped the beauty pass and the light pass separately. I warped the light pass in Nuke to match it better.

I also finished updating my shot with the spark lighting on the environment. The only issue is getting the right color space. Me and Joleen tried to export it from DaVinci the way she has been, however we continued to get an error. Instead I color graded it to match the color grade she did. However, when I brought it into Premiere, it lost a lot of the saturation and contrast. After doing some research I found out that Premiere doesn't support ACES colorspace. So I tried exporting an MP4 from Nuke and got videos with more color issues. Luckily Joleen was able to render out another updated version of shot 3 from DiVinci from home, so all the videos at the top are updated.

Today was our final day with out mentors at Powerhouse VFX. We got to show them our final video and get feedback on how we could make it better if we were to continue working on it after this class is over.

The main thing we can work on as a group is continuity. I noticed this a couple weeks ago when it came to me and Joleen's shots. My sparks were not as big as hers, so I made mine bigger, but I had to find a balance so they wouldn't take up the entire shot. They pointed out how in shot 2, the design on Eva's neck flickers while in shots 3 and 4 the glow grows. It is more consistent to only have one or the other. Another thing they saw that was inconsistent was the color and intensity between the glow in shot 2 and 3 compared to shot 4. There is more much purple in the first couple of shots than there is in the last.

Monica told me that I could add particle lighting interaction to my shot to make it even better. I am working on that now. I have a reference video and am rendering out a shadow pass from the sparks in Houdini. You can see the result in the breakdown video above.
