Week 3

This week, I was able to get the shadow projection working. There were many problems with it, like the edges on the circles and the really dark areas on the ball.



So for the next render, I blurred the projection shadow so that it was smoother and made some color corrections in Nuke. This is what I turned in. I just want to let it be known that I am not proud of my peach... I waited too long to start on it and the shader and texture need work.

So on my white ball, there is a very noticeable dark spot that I didn't really understand. I tried to get rid of it or tone it down with color corrections, but that didn't work too well. After troubleshooting in class, we realized that my diffuse AOV was missing lighting information because my HDRI was not in that layer. This is what it looks like when it is in the layer.

This project still needs a ton of work like a shadow reflection and adjusted lighting and color, but that random dark spot is fixed.
